Tallowwood Farm is a cattle and performance horse & spelling farm located in the beautiful Noosa hinterland town of Pomona. The scenic 102 ha or 253 acres, is only 3 mins drive to Pomona with its village atmosphere & only 35 mins drive to the famous tourist town of Noosa Heads. Nestled under the towering Pomona Mountain, Tallowwood Farm has all the facilities & accommodation one would expect for such a quality horse property. The horse facilities are outstanding & have to be inspected to be truly appreciated. The dominate structure is the indoor arena complex which is 60m x 20m surfaced with the sought-after Mary River Sand regarded by many as the best sand surface. The building is galvanised steel construction with concrete footings & designed & built by one of Queensland’s premier shed companies. An arena sprinkler system is connected to a 10,000 gallon tank fed from the large dam via a solar pump. There is also a second 10,000 gallon rainwater tank, plus two 5,000 gallon tanks off the stable complex for the auto horse watering system throughout the property. Outdoor arena, 40m x 40m again surfaced with Marry River sand. Both were constructed by well know Todd Cunningham of Equestrian Land Developments.

The stable complex, adjacent to the indoor arena, consists of 4 oversized 5m x 4.5m boxes with rubber cushioned flooring & rubber lined walls complete with automatic waters. Adjoining stable complex is the agistee’s room (4.4m x 8m) complete with shower & toilet. On the other end of the stables is a similar room with full kitchen facilities & washing machine. The shed complex is connected to its own water supply via 20,000 gallon tank with pressure pump.

The property is well drained, flood free with flat & undulating slopes perfect for cattle or brood mares. There are 29 paddocks with 19 shelters & 3 day yards, all with automatic waterers fed via a pressure pump. 4 of the paddocks are large and ideal for grazing cattle. The paddocks are serviced by a laneway system allowing for easy & safe movement of animals. All paddocks are pasture improved with an excellent mixture of Rhodes grass, Kikuyu, Shaw Creeping Vigna, Blue Grass & Paspalum. The high rainfall for the area means that there is ample quantity and quality pastures for the livestock all year round.
